Overview
A native mobile application used as a digital doorbell
Challenge
OpenIT meetings take place in a location with a shared doorbell, which sometimes does not even work. This requires people attending the meeting to often call the organizer to let them in.
Approach
I took an existing chat app and leveraged it's API inside a native app to be able to send a message to the chat whenever someone is at the door.
Outcome
The shared doorbell will no longer be a bottleneck for OpenIT meetings.
